Welcome Wade & Rachelle Burleson
Pastor Wade has been Senior Pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma, since 1992. He and his wife of 25 years have 4 children. He has served two terms as president of the Oklahoma Baptist Convention and is a former trustee of the International Mission Board of the SBC. Wade is an author and his most recent book is entitled “Happiness Doesn’t Just Happen: Learning to Be Content Regardless of Your Circumstances.” He is currently working on two books: “Hardball Religion: The Death of Dissent in a Denomination of Dissenters” and “The Gospel According to Jonah.”
The Scottish Preacher and Archbishop of Glasgow, Robert Leighton, once remarked that “Adversity is the diamond dust with which heaven polishes its jewels.” Four men in the Bible faced great adversity and all responded by “renting his robe.” Pastor Wade speaks today on “what it means to rent a robe” from Exodus 28:32.
