What is the Admin Team's role?

The Administration Team at Liberty Heights Church (Admin Team) provides essential accountability, guidance, and oversight in three primary areas: personnel, finances, and legal matters. The Admin Team works closely with the Pastoral Leadership Team to ensure financial integrity, wise stewardship, and sound personnel practices across all areas of church operations.

In partnership with the Pastoral Leadership Team, the Admin Team:
  • Oversees all professional staff matters, including salary structures and policy development, following annual performance reviews.
  • Helps establish and monitor the church’s annual budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Provides oversight for the use and maintenance of all LHC properties and facilities.
  • Upholds standards of conduct that protect the reputation and integrity of the church’s ministry.
  • Manages and approves out-of-budget expenses.
  • Recommends the hiring of candidates for positions included in the congregation-approved annual budget.

The Admin Team also represents the church in legal and business matters. This includes, but is not limited to, providing access to financial records for active members and ensuring the implementation of proper auditing procedures.

The Admin Team is composed of seven members of LHC who are in good standing (LHC By-Laws require at least five active members). These men and women are selected based on spiritual maturity, leadership ability, and experience in financial and organizational matters. Members serve three-year terms, with at least two rotating off annually. Individuals may serve multiple terms, with a required one-year gap between terms, although exceptions may be made during times of special need.

Currently, Lead Pastor Brad Cunningham provides leadership for the Admin Team in matters related to personnel, while Pastor of Administration Chris Anderson leads in matters related to finances and facilities. Both pastors serve in advisory roles and do not vote on team decisions.
