Welcome to LHC Student Ministry! Through engaging worship, biblical teaching, small groups, and exciting events like Summer Camp, we provide opportunities for Junior High and High School students to grow in their faith, build community, and have fun. Whether you're new or have been around for a while, there's a place here for every student to be known and be challenged in their walk with Christ. We can’t wait to see how God will move in your student’s life!
Sunday Nights | 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Make a lasting impact by helping the next generation grow in their faith and love for Jesus. Join our Student Ministry team and be part of creating a fun, welcoming space where students can learn about Jesus!
What To Expect
Our Student Ministry (Grades 7-12) meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. You can expect to meet new friends, amazing leaders, and have a ton of fun while growing in your walk with Jesus. There are games, small groups, and dinner every week. We'd love to see you and a friend there!
GATHER - WORSHIP SERVICE
Like our adults, our students are encouraged to attended regular worship services to focus on Christ, engage God’s word, and participate in corporate worship. This is such an important value that we don’t offer any programming on Sunday morning for our students. Participating in the worship service strengthens their own discipleship and gives both parents and students a shared experience so the faith conversation can extend beyond Sunday mornings. Once a month, our adult worship band will lead the students in a time of worship.
GROW - GROUPS
In the same way that groups drive our adults in relational discipleship, we want LHC Student Ministry life to be normal practice for students by the time they graduate from high school. Groups take place each week.
Grades 7-10: LHC has partnered with Lifeway Students to create a custom curriculum that takes students from Genesis thru Revelation in four years. They will study the top 100 key passages in the Bible, what it means, and how to apply the passage to their lives. Groups are based on grade and gender.

Grades 11-12: Our upperclassmen meet together to dive deeper into the application of the sermon they heard in worship that morning (but it's okay if they missed it). They often will have discussions on how to Biblically deal with topics such as dating, anxiety, knowing God's will, and other areas that are relevant to their stage of life. Groups are mixed by grade and gender.
GIVE
Giving does not always mean giving of your money. Your time is a valuable asset too! We encourage our students to serve, both during the Sunday morning corporate worship and throughout the week. We encourage our students (& parents) to worship one hour and serve together the opposite hour.
GO
Local Missions: Students are challenged to live their Biblical mission, to invest in friends who are far from God, and to be a light in a lost world. In addition, LHC offers opportunities for students to minister locally to neighbors who live within a 30-mile radius from Liberty Heights.
Upperclassmen Mission Trips: Students who are Juniors and Seniors are invited to join us on mission as we serve our friends around the world. Trips in the past have been to the Dominican Republic and Mexico. This is an exclusive trip for upper classmen and is a highlight for all who make it a point to go!
