Tithing to the church is a powerful act of faith and gratitude that acknowledges God as the ultimate provider of all we have. Everything we possess—our time, talents, and resources—comes from Him, and tithing is a way to return a portion of His blessings as an expression of trust and obedience. It enables the church to fulfill its mission of spreading the Gospel, supporting the community, and caring for those in need. By giving back, we participate in God’s work on earth and affirm that our security lies not in our possessions, but in His provision and faithfulness.

Give directly to our mission partners! One of the misconceptions that often is connected to the subject of missions is the idea that missionaries are people who live in other countries to reach people who are far from us. While foreign missions is one aspect of a fully developed missions strategy, there is another that can easily be overlooked: Liberty Heights Member Missionaries. In an effort to celebrate these families who worship alongside us, we provide direct financial support to them out of our monthly budget. We also do this to encourage them as many are required to raise their own funds to support the mission work to which they have been called.

Giving your time to serve in the church is a meaningful way to follow the example of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). Jesus humbled Himself, washing His disciples' feet and meeting the needs of others with compassion and love. When we dedicate our time to serving, whether by volunteering in ministries, helping those in need, or simply offering a listening ear, we reflect His servant-hearted nature. Serving allows us to grow spiritually, build deeper connections with others, and become active participants in the body of Christ. It’s not just about filling a role; it’s about living out our faith and sharing God’s love in tangible ways.
